I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
